ANZAOMS welcomes incoming President, Dr Jasvir Singh (NSW)

This year’s AGM saw Vice President (President Elect), Dr Jasvir Singh take over as President of the Association.

Dr Singh was educated in Sydney and attended Sydney University Dental School qualifying in 1994. After working for a year as the dental intern at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, he worked in the UK as a senior house officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Worcester and Poole. After 2 years in the UK, he was accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training program in Adelaide at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide Dental Hospital. This included research in Distraction Osteogenesis and completion of his medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 2002. He passed his fellowship exam for completion of his surgical training in 2005.

Overseas experience includes oral oncology and head and neck surgery as an overseas fellow at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi, India.

He was appointed as Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, Sydney in 2009, where he is involved in the Head & Neck Clinic.

Dr Singh and ANZAOMS sincerely thank our outgoing President, Dr Patrishia Bordbar, for her outstanding leadership and commitment to her role as President 2021 – 2023.
